Indian organizations condemn Armenian attack on Azerbaijan

Report by Voice of Millions News Agency

New Delhi, 24 July: Indian organizations strongly condemn the recent attacks by the armed forces of Armenia on Azerbaijan's Tovuz region of the Azerbaijan-Armenia border and appeal to the United Nations, Non-Aligned Movement, Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), International community, world leaders, social and political organizations to strongly condemn the Armenian aggression.

Indian organizations extend their full support and solidarity with the brave people of Azerbaijan against the illegal and unjustified Armenian aggression and we fully support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Indian organizations feel that the Armenian attack on Azerbaijan is the clear-cut violation of international norms and principles, United Nations Security Council resolutions and disrupts the talks for peaceful settlement of the conflict in and around Nagorno-Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. We demand from Armenia to immediately implement the United Nations Security Council resolutions 822, 853, 874 and 884 which call for the total and unconditional withdrawal of Armenian armed forces from the occupied territories of Azerbaijan.

Indian organizations are of the opinion that the fact that Armenia is continuing to carry out military attacks against Azerbaijan, occupying the Nagorno-Karabakh region and seven adjacent regions of Azerbaijan, vividly proves that Armenia is not interested in the peaceful settlement of the conflict.

Indian organizations support resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through peaceful means and with full respect to Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity within its internationally recognized borders. Armenia should strictly abide by United Nations Security Council resolutions and withdraw its occupying forces from the territory of Azerbaijan.
